The Saudi-backed Hadi government has closed the Aden International Airport after a double assassination attacks that killed two security officials in the Mamdara neighborhood.
According to Yemen’s Arabic-language al-Masirah news website, the shutting of the airport was due to security reasins.
Aden and the southern provinces are witnessing a surge in insecurity due to the expansion of Takfiri groups following the Saudi-led coalition’s capture of these areas.
On Monday, gunmen assassinated two pro-Hadi army commanders in Abyan and Mmdarah in Aden city.
