The Saudi aggression warplanes launched on Wednesday air raids on neighborhoods in Taiz city, leaving casualties and damage to houses and public property.

Two airstrikes targeted the home of the Security Director in Taiz Brigadier Abdul-Haleem Numan in al-Harrir neighborhood and resulted in several causalities among civilians and damage to the nearby houses, a local official said in a statement.

Another raid targeted the Republican Palace in east of Taiz city, causing damage to tens of houses, cars and public property.

Air strikes also hit Naqil al-Ebil area in Rahida district.

These raids came after hours from a series of night raids waged by the aggression fighter jets on different parts of Dhabab and Hathran areas.

Elsewhere, a local official confirmed that two citizens were killed and others injured in random rocket bombing carried out by mercenaries on mountainous villages in Saber al-Mawadem district and on Sofetile neighborhood in Hoban area.

Saudi Arabia began its military aggression against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes are supposedly meant to undermine the Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.

More than 7,500 people have been killed and over 14,000 others injured since the strikes began. The Saudi war has also taken a heavy toll on impoverished Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
