7th Saudi-led Coalition Warship Destroyed in Yemeni Waters

The Yemeni army backed by the popular committees including the Ansarullah movement destroyed another Saudi-led coalition warship off the coast of Mokha in Taiz province, a military source said on Friday.

The ship is said to be the seventh Saudi vessel sinking in waters offshore Yemen in the last three months.

The allied force launched a guided missile on the frigate, which led to its destruction and sinking on Thursday evening.

A source, speaking on the condition of anonymity to the Arabic-language al-Masirah TV, said all crew members on board died in the attack, and the burning frigate submerged shortly afterward.

Saudi-led coalition warships usually deploy offshore Taiz to strike coastal targets, but they retreat from Yemen’s waters as soon as the Yemeni army and Ansarullah forces destroy one of their vessels.
