Three women and a child were killed as well as two children injured in a Saudi bombing on citizens’ houses on Harf Sufyan in Amran province on Sunday, a local source said.
The source added that the Saudi-led collation is still launching raids on infrastructure and citizens’ houses in Amran.
The death toll of civilians has risen to at least 1,916, with another 4,186 civilians wounded since the escalation of the conflict in March, according to the United Nations [UN] recently last week.
A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out airstrikes against Yemen since March. The airstrikes have not been authorized by the UN.
The US-led Saudi military aggression against Yemen began on March 26 - without a UN mandate - in a bid to restore power to the country’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is a staunch ally of Saudi Arabia, and to undermine Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement which is currently responding to the attacks on the country.
