At least 30 militants were killed in clashes with popular committee backed by Houthi Ansarullah fighters in Yemen’s Lahij province on Friday.
The al-Qaeda-linked militants fighting for Yemen’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, were killed in the Masameer district of Lahij Province in southwest Yemen.
The gains of the Yemeni forces come as Saudi Arabia continues with its military aggression against the country.
On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies backed by the United States began to launch deadly airstrikes in Yemen in an attempt to restore power to Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
The death toll of civilians has risen to at least 1,916, with another 4,186 civilians wounded since the escalation of the conflict in March in Yemen, according to the United Nations [UN] recently this week on Tuesday.
