Eight more people have been killed in a fresh airstrike by Saudi Arabia on Yemen’s northwestern Hajjah province on Wednesday.

Several other people were also injured in the Saudi bombing that targeted the province’s Meissar area on Wednesday.

Saudi warplanes also carried out attacks against civilian targets in the northwestern province of Sa’ada.

Saudi Arabia’s deadly air aggression against Yemen has continued unabated for more than four months.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out airstrikes against Yemen since March. The airstrikes have not been authorized by the UN.

Saudi Arabia and some of its allies began to launch deadly airstrikes in Yemen on March 26 in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

The ’civilian’ death toll in Yemen has risen to at least 1,916, with another 4,186 civilians wounded since the escalation of the conflict in March, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights [OHCHR] reported this week on Tuesday.
