The armed forces and popular committees hit the Saudi military sites of al-Makhrouq and al-Shorfah in Najran governorate in Saudi Arabia, a military source said on Wednesday.

The attack caused great losses in soldiers and military vehicles, the source said.

The Yemeni army continued to shell a number of Saudi military sites, including Nahoqa center, al-Mahraqah in Najran governorate, al-Dod, al-Jihad, al-Amoud , al-Radif, al-Qaza’a and al-Sala’ah and al-Khoba town in Jaizan governorate.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out airstrikes against Yemen since March. The airstrikes have not been authorized by the UN.

As a result, the Yemeni army backed by popular committees and tribal fighters have been responding to the US-led Saudi aggression.

Based on UN figures, over 3,261 people have been killed, 1,670 of whom were civilians in the Saudi onslaught.
