A planeload of relief aid of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières [MSF] landed in Yemen’s capital of Sana’a on Tuesday, as Saudi Arabia continues to hit Yemen with deadly military airstrikes since March.
The plane carried 23 tons of medical assistance, the MSF Media Official Malek Shaher said.
She said that the shipment will be distributed to several hospitals, including al-Salam hospital and Haidan Health Center in Sa’ada province, al-Rawdha hospital in Taiz province and Anaser Hospital in Dhale’ province.
Saudi Arabia began its US-led military aggression against Yemen on March 26 - without a United [UN] Nation mandate - in a bid to restore power to the country’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is a staunch ally of Saudi Arabia, and to undermine Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement which is currently responding to the attacks on the country.
