Yemeni Army Forces Storm Military Base in KSA’s Jizan in Retaliation

Yemeni army troopers launched a retaliatory attack on a military base in southwestern Saudi Arabia on Friday as Riyadh presses ahead with a military aggression against the impoverished country since March.
Yemeni soldiers launched an operation against MBC base in the kingdom’s Jizan region, which is located near the border with Yemen, late on Friday, forcing Saudi troops stationed there to flee for their lives.
A military vehicle belonging to the Saudi forces was also set ablaze during the raid, Arabic-language al-Masirah satellite television network reported.
Also, Yemeni army forces backed by fighters from allied popular committees launched a barrage of mortar shells against al-Malta base in Saudi Arabia’s oil-rich region of Dhahran.
A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out airstrikes against Yemen since March. The airstrikes have not been authorized by the UN.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni army backed by popular committees and tribal fighters have been responding to the US-led Saudi aggression.
Based on UN figures, over 3,261 people have been killed, 1,670 of whom were civilians in the Saudi onslaught.
