A military source in Yemeni Defense ministry said that the artillery force in the Yemeni army targeted an operations room for militiamen of the country’s fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi in Aden in Yemen on Thursday.

The strike in Aden’s Tawahi district killed several commanders in the militia, including a number of military officers from the UAE, the source told Yemeni news agency, SABA.

The source also said that the Yemeni army and popular committees managed to kill a top commander of forces loyal to Hadi in the region, Saba reported.

Additionally, the Yemeni army and popular forces also made great advances in the southeastern province of Maareb in Yemen, according to the Arabic-language Al-Ahed news website.

In the military operations, over 80 terrorists affiliated to Al-Qaeda were captured and many others from the Saudi-led coalition were killed, including 7 Pakistani officers and two Emiratis, the report said.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia continued its air raids against the Yemeni people, killing at least 10 civilians in the provinces of Sa’ada and Sana’a.

On March 26, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies began to militarily interfere in Yemen’s internal affairs by launching deadly air strikes in the country in an attempt to restore power to Hadi, a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

Based on UN figures, over 3,261 people have been killed, 1,670 of whom were civilians in the Saudi onslaught.

The Yemeni army, backed by popular committees and tribal fighters, has been responding to the Saudi-led aggression by targeting several Saudi border military posts and cleansing several areas across the country from Hadi and al-Qaeda-linked militias.
