Yemeni Forces Strike Saudi-backed Mercenaries In Marib

The Yemeni army and the Ansarullah-led Popular Committees fired missiles at positions belonging to Saudi-backed mercenaries.

According to Yemeni military officials, the rocket attacks struck targets in the country’s Marib province, killing an unspecified number of militants and destroying at least two military vehicles.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

Over 12,000 people have been killed since Riyadh launched its airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s infrastructure.

Yemeni forces responded with retaliatory attacks against the Saudis and their proxies deployed across parts of Yemen as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
