The Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has started Thursday loading more than 23 tons of relief goods aboard its Ilyushin Il-76 plane to be delivered to Yemen. There are tents and food for the people affected by the armed conflict. On its way back the plane is going to transport to Moscow citizens of Russia and CIS countries who want to leave the conflict area.

Another Il-76 owned by the Ministry landed Thursday at Domodedovo airport. It had delivered to Yemen more than 20 tons of relief goods and brought 62 Russian and CIS citizens to Moscow by the return flight.

Yemen has been under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition since March 26.

Thousands have been killed and injured in the attack, with the vast majority of them are civilians.

Riyadh launched the offensive on Yemen in a bid to allegedly restore power to fugitive president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi who is a close ally to Saudi Arabia.
