The Saudi-led coalition blocked a commercial ship loaded with fuel in the Red Sea, a security official told the state-run news agency Saba on Monday.

The fuel was imported for operating electricity station in the port city of Hodeida.

The official said in a statement that the ship carries diesel allocated to run electricity in the city to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people during the hot summer.

The authorities in the port urged the United Nations and the international organizations to pressure the coalition to release the ship and allow it to enter the port.

The coalition has been imposing an all-out siege against the people of Yemen for three years without any just justification.
