Britain’s Prime Minister Refusing to Release Report on UK Terrorism Funding

Local Editor

Britain’s Premier is unlikely to release a Home Office report, which was commissioned to investigate foreign funding of British terrorist organizations.

Theresa May is reportedly concerned that the contents of the report could damage relations with a leading UK trading partner – Saudi Arabia.

The material is believed to be too sensitive to be made public despite claims by sources at the Home Office that Riyadh is not the main subject of the report, which was completed six months ago.

Meanwhile, UK opposition leaders including Jeremy Corbyn urged the Prime Minister to release the findings.

Since taking office last year, May’s government expanded security and economic ties with the Arab monarchies. Downing Street has also been heavily criticized for whitewashing rights abuses by oppressive regimes including Manama.
