Yemen’s army spokesman Brig. Gen. Sharaf Luqman confirmed that all options for the army and popular forces are open to all levels to response to the Saudi-led aggression.

Luqman said that the capacity and abilities of the national forces are now much better than before.

The spokesperson also stressed that the national forces are in a process to translate a new reality in the field which will undermine the enemy’s movements, including targeting and attacking all of the Saud-led coalition’s military bases.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 12,000 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
