The spokesperson for the Houthi Ansarullah movement, Mohammed Abdulsalam, on Sunday strongly condemned the massacre committed by the Saudi-led air aggression on the al Mashnak popular market in Saada province.

The Ansarullah official said the massacre reflects the true face of the UN Security Council, which gives the countries of aggression a political and military cover to continue their crimes against the Yemeni people.

The air strike killed 24 people and injured several others Saturday evening.

Saudi Arabia has been leading a destructive military campaign against Yemen since March 2015 to reinstate former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and crush the Houthi movement.

The campaign has seriously damaged the country’s infrastructure. Local Yemeni sources have put the death toll from the Saudi war at over 12,000, including many women and children.
