Yemen’s Houthi Ansarullah movement continue their largely successful guerilla warfare against forces loyal to ousted president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, backed by the Saudi-led Arab coalition.

On Friday, the media wing of the Houthi revolutionaries published a video footage demonstrating an ambush in Sirwah area of Marib province, where Houthis, using anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), destroyed a vehicle that was carrying pro-Saudi fighters.

More than seven mercenaries were around the vehicle when the ATGM hit it. The attack killed at least one militant has been killed as a result while two others injured.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 12,000 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
