The US-backed Saudi-led coalition warplanes on Tuesday launched a series of air raids targeting Yemen’s different provinces including Hajjah and Sana’a.

A local official told the state-run news agency Saba that the fighter jets targeted Midi and Haradh districts in Hajjah with five airstrikes.

Meanwhile, another raid targeted Hamdan district in Sana’a province. The strike hit Mahjar area and damaged houses and farms.
Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 12,000 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
