Yemeni Army Inflict Losses on Saudi-led Coalition in Asir

The Yemeni military media displayed images of burning electric motors and fuel tank of the Saudi troops at Almiseal military base in Asir.

The Yemeni army and popular committees who were at a Saudi military position set ablaze to several electric motors, a fuel tank and an armory.

Earlier at Alfaridha military position, the artillery of the Yemeni army and popular forces shelled the Saudi troops’ gatherings and their bases. Many soldiers were killed and injured. Three Saudi military vehicles were withdrawn from Alkers military position. Seven military sites and gatherings were destroyed. The Yemeni artillery caused direct casualties.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 12,000 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
