A Saudi-led air strike killed 23 people in Yemen’s northern mountains early on Saturday, tribal sources said.

The strike targeted a factory in Saqayn, near Saada, the sources said.

Saudi-led coalition aircraft also bombed the capital, Sanaa, witnesses added.

More than 2,600 people have been killed and at least 11,000 injured by Saudi attacks since the US-led Saudi military aggression began against Yemen on March 26, according to United Nations [UN] records. The Saudi airstrikes since March 26 have not been authorized by the UN.

The UN says more than 21 million people, over 80 percent of the population, are now in need of some form of humanitarian aid.

Additionally, the UN recently on Wednesday designated the war in Yemen as a Level 3 humanitarian crisis, its most severe category.
