Saudi Airstrikes Hit Several Yemeni Provinces

The Saudi-led coalition renewed its aerial campaign across Yemen striking a number of provinces.

The Yemeni Saba news agency reported airstrikes in several districts across the southwestern province of Taiz, which has witnessed fierce battles on the ground in recent weeks between the Yemeni army and Saudi-backed militants.

Another 14 strikes were reported the country’s Hajja province and at least 7 in the northern province of Saada.

The Saudis launched their bombardment of Yemen in late March 2015 to reinstate former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi and undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement.

The campaign has killed thousands, devastating the country’s infrastructure and creating a humanitarian catastrophe.
