At least one person was reportedly killed in a Saudi airstrike, which struck a tanker transporting foodstuffs in Yemen’s Hodeidah province.

Another five civilians were also injured in the attack.

The Saudis have stepped up their bombardment of aid convoys in and around the strategic Hodeidah port in recent weeks amid speculation that a full-scale assault on the city is being prepared.

In retaliation to the ongoing Saudi strikes, which have claimed over 12,000 lives since March 2015, Yemen’s armed forced fired more projectiles into the kingdom’s southern provinces.

According to Yemen’s Saba News Agency a number of Saudi military positions were struck by rocket fire in the provinces of Jizan and Asir.
