Saudi-led Airstrikes Continue on Yemeni Cities, Kill 16

Warplanes from a Saudi-led coalition bombed in Yemen’s capital of Sana’a on Friday, residents said, and at least 16 people were killed, sources added.

Six people, including a woman and a child, were killed and six injured in a dawn air strike on the al Jaraf neighborhood of Sanaa.

 Ten other people were killed by Saudi-led aerial attacks on a building in Bayt al-Faqih city in the southwestern province of Hodeida.

Saudi-led airstrikes were also carried out on Faj Attan mountain overlooking Sanaa,



In the dawn attack, warplanes also hit the ministry of communications building, setting it on fire and destroying nearby buildings.

The warplanes staged a further attack on the capital around noon. 

 


According to UN records, Saudi attacks have killed more than 2,600 people and injured at least 11,000 in Yemen. 

The Saudi airstrikes since March 26 have not been authorized by the UN.
