Saudi Aggression Targets Historical City of Barakesh in Yemen

The Saudi-led aggression launched raids on the historical city of Barakesh in the Marib province in Yemen on Wednesday.

 

The aggression caused destruction on walls of the ancient city and its temple, a local source said, adding that one of the bridges linking Sana’a, Marib and Jawf was bombarded.

Barakesh is the most impressive of all Yemen’s ancient sites. Its fortified city wall is 14 meters high and is constructed from a beautiful calcite stones.

 

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been conducting military strikes against Yemen since March 26. 
The US-led Saudi aggression has been taking place without a UN mandate.
