In a televised speech marking the Martyred Leaders Anniversary on Thursday, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayed Hassan Nasrallah accused the Israeli entity of being a partner to the aggression against Yemen alongside the US and the Emirates.
Sayyed Nasrallah added that the “steadfastness of the Yemenis is a myth, the crisis started two years ago with the hope it would take them only weeks to finish it but they were mistaken.”
The secretary-general notes that Saudi Arabia is recruiting mercenaries from some countries to fight a proxy war in its aggression against Yemen. However, the Yemenis’ steadfast and firm in their resistance prevented from being defeated.
Saudi Arabia has come under international opprobrium for the sheer size of the casualties from the war it is leading since March 2015 to crush the Houthi Ansarullah movement and bring back the former Yemeni government to power.
The offensive has so far killed 11,403 amid countless reports suggesting deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilian infrastructure by Saudi jets and mercenaries.
