Dozens of Saudi-paid mercenaries were killed and others injured in Dhubab in Taiz province in attacks by Yemen’s national army and popular forces, a military official told Saba on Thursday.

Katyusha rockets were fired in the operation, in which several of the mercenaries' military vehicles were destroyed.

Meanwhile, the national army killed six mercenaries when they attempted to infiltrate toward locations opposite to Kindi Street.

Also, three mercenaries were killed in Salah quarter in eastern city of Taiz.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 11,403 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
