The political council of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement on Thursday strongly condemned the US-Saudi aggression airstrikes on the Arhab women funeral house that killed at least eightwomen and children.

In a statement obtained by the state-run news agency Saba, the council said that “this latest horrific, brutal Saudi war crime against Yemeni civilians reveals that the Saudi aggression is a beast that lacks all religious and humanitarian principles.”

The statement added that the Saudis have been committing war crimes on a daily basis against the Yemeni people in front of all the world for almost two years.

The council said the Yemeni people will remain steadfast in the face of the Saudi aggression, calling on the international community and the UN Security Council to take responsibility to press for an end to the unjust aggression.

On Wednesday, at least eight people were killed and dozens wounded in a Saudi-led coalition 'double-tap' airstrike on a funeral in Sana'a.

The first airstrike hit a group of women attending a funeral in the Arhab neighbourhood and the second strike hit a group of emergency responders minutes later.

Saudi Arabia has been leading an offensive against Yemen since March 2015 in a bid to crush the Houthi Ansarullah. The war has left at least 11,403 civilians dead, according to a latest tally by a Yemeni monitoring group.

The US has also been providing logistic and surveillance support to the kingdom in the bloody military campaign.
