Muslims in the US capital city of Washington staged an outdoor exhibition of photos on Saturday depicting the Saudi regime’s war crimes in Yemen.

The organizers of Friday prayers in Washington, DC, staged an outdoor exhibition, which showcased photos demonstrating Yemeni children killed by recent Saudi airstrikes in Yemen, according to Tasnim dispatches.

One organizer of the event told the Tasnim news agency that the photo exhibition was mounted "to make the voice of the oppressed people of Yemen heard by Muslims."

The exhibition took place in front of the Islamic Center of Washington in the US on Saturday.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out deadly airstrikes in Yemen since March.

The US-led Saudi military aggression has been attacking Yemen since March 26 - without a UN mandate.

UN estimates say over 2,600, mostly civilians, have been killed and another 9,755 wounded as a result of the ongoing attacks on the country.

The aggression began in an attempt to bring the fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia, back to power, and to weaken the Houthi Ansarullah movement which is currently responding to the Saudi attacks.
