Three Yemeni civilians were killed in a Saudi airstrike on Baqam district of Saada province overnight, a local official told the country’s state-run news agency Saba on Tuesday.

The Saudi fighter jets struck their car in al-Demnah area, wounding four other passengers.

The airstrike hit Al Qarrad area, causing heavy damage to properties and farms.

Meanwhile, the Saudi aggression intensively shelled Razah district of the same province, the official added.

Yemen has been under military attacks by Saudi Arabia since late March last year. The Saudi military strikes were launched in a failed effort to undermine the popular Houthi Ansarullah movement and bring the former fugitive president back to power.

More than 11,403 people, among them 2,236 children, have been killed and 19,343 others injured since the start of the aggression. The strikes have also taken a heavy toll on the impoverished country’s facilities and infrastructure, destroying many hospitals, schools, and factories.
