Two Yemeni civilians were killed in a Saudi airstrike that hit the central Souk in Mocha coastal city of Taiz province on Monday evening, a local official told the state-run news agency Saba on Tuesday.

Several people were also wounded in the air raid.

The warplanes launched three airstrikes on the road that links Mocha city with Hodeida province.

Meanwhile, the aggression fighter jets waged three airstrikes on Tuesday morning on Arfan bridge linking Mocha district with the neighboring areas.

Several civilians were killed by the airstrikes and others injured, the official added.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 11,403 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
