The Yemeni army and popular forces killed two Saudi soldiers in Jizan province and destroyed five Saudi military vehicles in Najran and Assir, a military official in Najran said Tuesday.

In details, a special sniper unit shot dead two Saudis soldiers in al-Ma'anaq area of Jizan province.

The army and popular forces also destroyed two Saudi armored vehicles in al-Khadhra'a area and another one in eastern al-Shabakah area in Najran province.

Moreover, the missile and artillery forces targeted Najran al-Makhrouq base in Najran and targeted positions of Saudi soldiers and mercenaries in Alb land port Asir province. Tens of troops were killed or wounded while two armored vehicles were destroyed.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 11,403 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
