Three civilians were killed and four others wounded in three air attacks launched by the US-backed Saudi aggression warplanes on two vehicles heading to Al-Baidha governorate on Thursday, an official told the state-run news agency Saba.

The vehicles were targeted in the mountainous hilltop road of al-Saha area in Numan district.

The aggression warplanes, meanwhile, launched a series of airstrikes targeting the highway linking Al-Baidha with the neighboring governorate of Shabwa, damaging and cutting off several parts of the mountainous road.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 11,403 people have been killed and over 19,343 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
