3 Saudi Soldiers, Emirati Officer Killed on Yemen Border

Three Saudi soldiers and an Emirati officer have been killed on Saudi Arabia’s border with Yemen, where Riyadh is a leading a deadly bombing aggression against the poor country, according to state media on Thursday.

 

 

According to the Saudi-led coalition which has been bombing Yemen since March, it said that two Saudi troops were killed when a rocket landed in the Jizan region, in a statement carried by the SPA state news agency.

It did not specify the source of fire but cross-border shelling by Ansarullah revolutionaries has become frequent since Riyadh launched a deadly air aggression against Yemen in March.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been carrying out airstrikes against Yemen since March 26-without a UN mandate, while the Yemeni army along with popular committees and tribal fighters have been responding to the violent US-led Saudi aggression.

 

 

The statement also said that a Saudi border guard was killed at the Alab crossing point in the Asir region, without elaborating.

 It added that an Emirati soldier died in a border skirmish with Ansarullah revolutionary fighters on Monday.

The UAE is part of the Saudi-led aggression that has been pounding Yemen since March.
