The Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States launched a series of sorties against a number of areas in Abs district of Hajjah governorate in Yemen on Monday.

The Saudi war jets targeted Youth and Sport Center, in addition to a house of one of the locals and destroyed it completely, a local source told SABA.

It noted that hostile war planes continuously hovered over the area as well.

Saudi Arabia has been carrying out deadly airstrikes in Yemen since March.

The US-led Saudi military aggression on Yemen began on March 26 -- without a UN mandate -- in a bid to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia, and to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement resisting the attacks on its country.
