Yemeni Forces Retaliate: Launch Dozens of Rockets onto Saudi Sites

The Yemeni army and popular committees launched about 70 rockets onto the Saudi military sites in the bordering city of Jizan in retaliation for the US-led Saudi aggression on the country.

Meanwhile, the Saudi warplanes continued raiding the residential areas in various Yemeni provinces, including Saada and Taiz.

 

The Saudi raids killed or injured a number of civilians and caused much destruction.

The Yemeni army, backed by popular committees and tribal fighters have been responding to the US-led Saudi aggression on Yemen which began in March.

According to UN estimates, over 2,600 people, mostly civilians, have been killed and another 9,755 wounded as a result of the ongoing attacks on Yemen.

 

The Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States Saudi began a military aggression on Yemen on March 26 -- without a UN mandate -- in an attempt to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.
