Ballistic Missiles Hit Mercenaries in Jawf

Locally modified ballistic missiles were fired by the Yemeni army against Saudi-backed mercenaries, stationed in Yemen’s al-Jawf province. The overnight attacks struck the Alkhalifan and Aqaba areas of the province.

There are no exact figures on the number of killed but military officials in Sana’a assert that the operation was a success, killing and wounding scores of enemy combatants.

The missiles dubbed Zilzal 1 and Sarkha reportedly slammed directly into the military fortifications.

Similar attacks have been carried out against Saudi troops across the border in retaliation the Riyadh’s ongoing military campaign against Yemen, which killed over 11,000 people since March 2015.
