Over 20 Airstrikes by Saudi-led Warplanes Hit Yemen

More than 20 airstrikes by Saudi-led coalition warplanes hit targets across Yemen late Sunday, residents said.

A Saudi-led coalition backed by the United States has been bombing Yemen for three months now. 

In Aden, residents reported three raids on the international airport while another bombing destroyed parts of the Ottoman-era Seera castle, a symbol of the city and the latest cultural site in Yemen to suffer damage in the US-led Saudi military aggression.

Along Yemen’s border with Saudi Arabia, residents in Hajja province reported five air raids.

Saudi Arabia has been carrying out deadly airstrikes in Yemen since March.

The US-led Saudi military aggression on Yemen on March 26 -- without a UN mandate -- in a bid to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia, and to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement resisting the attacks on its country.
