Saudi Yemen War Resembles ’Israel’ Gaza Wars: Press TV Poll

An overwhelming majority of respondents from across the globe to a Press TV poll says Saudi Arabia’s military aggression against Yemen is totally similar to the "Israeli" aggression against the seized Gaza Strip in Occupied Palestine.

Among 29,192 people participating in the online poll which was conducted recently from May 11 to June 20, 2015, 22,041 believed that the ongoing Saudi military aggression in Yemen is very similar to the "Israeli" wars against seized Gaza.

The poll showed that 3,198 people maintained that the wars in Yemen and seized Gaza are relatively similar to each other while 3,953 respondents said they are barely similar.

The respondents included 7,264 people from the United States, 2,520 from the United Kingdom, 2,044 from Canada, 639 from Australia, 423 from the Netherlands, including some other countries.

"Israel" has blockaded the seized Gaza Strip of Occupied Palestine for over seven years, causing a humanitarian crisis in the enclave. The Zionist regime has since launched three wars on seized Gaza.

"Israel" launched its latest aggression on the seized Gaza Strip in July 2014, and ended on August 26, 2014. Nearly 2,200 Palestinians, including 577 children, were martyred in "Israel’s" 50-day aggression. Over 11,100 others were also injured.

In parallel, the Saudi regime has been bombarding areas across Yemen since March 26 without the mandate of the United Nations [UN] in a bid to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and to restore to power the fugitive former Yemeni president, Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, who is a close ally of Saudi Arabia.

2,600 people, mostly civilians, have been killed and another 9,755 wounded as a result of the ongoing attacks on Yemen, UN estimates say.
