Yemen’s Minister of Public Health and Population Mohammed Saleh Hafedh met on Wednesday with the representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Yemen Ahmed Chadol on the occasion of ending his term.
At the meeting, the health minister valued the role played by the WHO representative in Yemen during and his efforts in order to help the health sector in the country.
"The Yemenis will not forget the services made by Ahmed Chadol and his efforts during his term," said the minister.
The Yemeni official reviewed the catastrophic situation in Yemen under the US-Saudi aggression war, including the blockade on the country.
He called on the UN organization to speed up medicinal support for the ministry in order to save lives.
The minister sent with the UN official a letter to the international community and donors regarding the health situation in Yemen.
