Yemeni Missile Strikes Base in Najran

The missile forces of the Yemeni army and popular forces fired rockets at Saudi military bases in Najran province over the past 24 hours, a military official told the state-run news agency Saba on Monday.

The national forces launched a barrage of rockets at newly-established military outposts in the areas of Alash, Aldhayah, Aleap military headquarters, Alhammad military camp, and Alsudays site.

The shelling inflicted heavy losses upon the enemy.

Meanwhile, the Saudi-led coalition fighter jets launched six air strikes in the same region in an attempt to protect their troops.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 11,400 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
