The Security apparatus and People’s Committees arrested members of a terrorist cell in the capital Sana’a. Large quantities of explosives, weapons, ammunition and counterfeit currency were found in their possession.
A security official said in a statement to the state-run news agency Saba on Monday that after monitoring and following-up, the security forces and people’s committees managed to raid the cell and arrest its members.
The captured terrorists were referred to the public prosecution. Preliminary investigations revealed that the cell has been associated with arms dealers.
According to the official, an investigation is underway into who was running the cell.
