Yemeni Army Launches Rocket Attack Against Najran

The Yemeni army and popular committees forces launched retaliatory attacks against Saudi soldiers’ positions in the Kingdom’s Najran region.

A military source told the Arabic Al Masirah website on Saturday that the missile force of the army and popular committees launched a salvo of Katyusha rockets at a gathering of Saudi soldiers in my Sudais and Al-Zour in Najran and made direct hits.

The source added that the allied forces also targeted the positions of the Saudi army and its mercenaries in Arq Al Soyoul in Najran with Katyusha rockets.

Earlier in the day, a number of Saudis troops were killed and two armored vehicles were burned near the Al Akhdar exit in Najran.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 10,000 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.

Yemeni forces have been engaged in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi forces deployed in the country as well as targets inside Saudi Arabia.
