Saudi War Planes Target Food Truck

Saudi warplanes have launched a fresh round of airstrikes against Yemen’s northwestern Saada province in the early hours of Thursday (November 3).

The strikes, which targeted a truck loaded with food supplies, fall in line with Saudi efforts to starve the Yemeni nation through their military campaign and by blockading the country.

Thursday’s attack reportedly took place in Saada’s Razih district. Yemen’s security officials reported that the driver of the vehicle, who was killed on the spot, was the only casualty.

Riyadh launched its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The Saudi-led coalition’s objective focused on undermining the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restoring power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

But the military operation has suffered serious setbacks as global calls to end the violence grow louder.
