The commissioner had earlier stressed on the importance of forming a neutral committee which looks into crimes committed by the Saudi-led coalition including the horrific strike which targeted a funeral on Saturday, killing and injuring more than 700 Yemenis in Sana’a.

"The UN stance should not stop here. The international body has to move in a bid to stop the aggression and to lift the blockade," the Yemeni official said on condition of anonymity.

Yemenis have been suffering from the naval, air and land blockade imposed by the Saudi-led coalition.

Yemen has been since March 26, 2015 under brutal aggression by Saudi-led coalition.
