Saudi Air Strikes Kill, Wound 15 Citizens in Khawlan

At least 15 citizens were killed and wounded when a Saudi-led coalition air strike struck their cars in Khawlan district of Sana’a province on Friday, a security official stated.

The official said the strike targeted the car of one of the citizens, causing large damage to nearby cars and houses, killing and injuring up to 15 residents.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 10,000 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
