Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif has reacted to statements by US Secretary of State John Kerry who accused Iran of sending military equipment to the Houthi Ansarullah forces in Yemen, Mehr news reported on Friday.

Zarif highlighted that the "US has engaged itself in Saudi’s inhumane child-killing war against innocent people of Yemen," and added, "no doubt, the US now has to be responsible for all the inhumane crimes."

"Certainly Mr. Kerry knows, better than everyone, that the Saudis have tried hard to annul all efforts made for establishing ceasefire in Yemen," underlined Zarif.

He continued "it is high time the US government learned from its egregious errors in Syria and Iraq by realizing existing facts and realities."

"The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly stated that its military power has never been a threat to any state for being purely defensive," underscored the official.

"Mr. Kerry must be well aware of the origins and causes of the intellectual basis and political and financial resources of Takfiri terrorism which is the main threat to the region and world today," stressed FM Zarid concluding "no doubt, the US is compounding the invalidity of its policies in the region by supporting terrorists while ignoring and neglecting realities."
