Iran’s Rafsanjani Raps Saudis for Killing Muslims

Chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani took a swipe at Saudi Arabia’s authorities for their irrational policies and spending funds on killing Muslims in Yemen.

It’s a pity that Saudi Arabia, which boasts of hosting Kaaba, is spending Islam’s great wealth on killing Muslims, Rafsanjani said at a meeting with Iraq’s Parliament Speaker Salim al-Jabouri in Tehran on Sunday, slamming the new Saudi rulers for their immature and irrational policies.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and a number of its Arab allies have been launching deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in Yemen in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

According to media reports, more than 10,000 Yemenis, most of them civilians, have been killed in the Saudi-led aggression so far.
