Five Yemeni soldiers were killed and six others wounded on Monday in a suicide attack that targeted a security headquarters in Hilla area of Al-Mukalla, the capital of Hadramaut province southeast of Yemen.

Local sources said that "a suicide bomber riding a motorcycle targeted a military checkpoint in the Hillah region in the western side of the city of Mukalla, resulting deaths and injuries".

The city of Mukalla on Sunday was the site of a suicide attack that targeted a Al-Najda camp, killing 25 civilians and wounding 60 others, who were planning to enlist in the police in the city".

Daesh or the ISIS terror group claimed responsibility for the bombing, saying in a statement published by news websites close to it, "Abu Bara al-Ansari detonated his explosives belt amid a gathering of apostates security elements within the Al-Najda building in Mukalla".

Yemeni activists on social networking sites passed on information indicating a supposed relationship between the Reform Party (Muslim Brotherhood) and the Al-Najda camp bomber in Mukalla.

Although ISIS claimed responsibility for the bloody attack, the Yemeni activists confirmed that the suicide bomber was a student in Hadramout University and an active member in the student union that supported the Reform Party in university elections.
