UN envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Alshiekh Ahmed announced Thursday that he has received from the heads of delegates taking part in Kuwait peace consultations among Yemenis lists of committee members scheduled to kick off a dialogue on security, political and prisoners and detainees issues to keep Kuwait consultations going.

Ahmed said he insisted that all Yemeni parties should differentiate between relief and human tracks and any other political or security issues to evade politicizing the issue.

He added that he requested the Yemeni parties to show cooperation with the Djibouti-based UN mechanism to verify and inspect commercial items heading for Yemen through Al-Hodeida, Al-Silaif and Al-Makha ports.

He said that they give a top priority to humanitarian situation particularly after stopping hostilities which contributed to enabling these organizations to deliver aid to people there.

He voiced his hope that this move would help alleviate suffering of Yemenis especially after launching the UN Verification and Inspection Mechanism for Yemen (UNVIM).
