Saudi Fighter Jets Launch Raids Across Yemen

The Saudi-led coalition launched on Thursday an air raid on al-Wathabat area in Harib al-Qaramesh district of Mareb province.

A local official said that the Saudi warplanes were still flying intensively in the sky of Serwah district, in a new violation of ceasefire in the province.

On Wednesday, fighter jets launched two raids on Nehm district of Sana’a province.

The strikes targeted Wasit and al-Majaweha areas in Nehm. No casualties were reported in the raids.

Saudi Arabia began its deadly campaign against Yemen in late March 2015. The strikes were meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

About 9,400 people have been killed and over 16,000 injured since Riyadh launched the airstrikes. The Saudi aggression has also taken a heavy toll on Yemen’s facilities and infrastructure.
